This summer I am planning on getting back into making art! I have gotten away from it for a while now and I have to say I really miss it! Part of this means taking some fun new classes including Tim Holtz’s Creative Chemistry classes. I only just discovered these and I am so excited to see what he has in store this summer. I got the chance to meet Tim when I went to a Creating Keepsakes University (CKU) in Houston, Texas in 2008. He is so freaking talented and amazes me everytime I watch him.
So today was day 1 and 2 of class and Tim has started discussing various techniques with Distress Inks. I’m ashamed to say I only have a few distress inks – will definitely need to pick up some more! Here are my tags that I created with the first 3 techniques:
Please forgive the poor quality of the photo – as with all my stuff I create in my basement studio and the lighting sucks! In any case, aren’t these pretty cool techniques? I can see me creating something like this to use in a future digital kit!
There’s still time to sign up for these classes if you’re interested. Head over to Online Card Classes to check them out. (not an affiliate or anything, just really excited to take them!)
I’m planning on taking a few other classes this summer and of course I’m doing Life Book again this year, so expect to see more art from me! Summer of art fun!
p.s. If you know of some cool art classes, link me up!
